Expression of Interest- Canteen Operator

Welcome to Woodland Grove Primary School.

We are seeking expressions of interest to operate our school canteen from Term 4 2020 onwards, providing morning tea and lunches for our student and staff population. If you are interested in working in a friendly student centred environment and utilise a low waste packaging/recycling approach this may be the opportunity for you.

Previous experience in operating a school canteen will be considered advantageous but not essential.

We pride ourselves on our commitment to the students of our school. Our canteen is an important part of our commitment to our school community by providing healthy and affordable meals. Rental obligations will be minimal to minimise operating costs. We currently have a student population of almost 630 students. Our student population is expected to grow to about 700 students next year.

Expressions of Interest to operate our canteen are due by September 18, 2020 at 4.00pm. They can be submitted via email to WoodlandGrove.PS@education.wa.edu.au and addressed to the Principal, Mrs Ashley Mottershead. Representatives and the Principal will consider submissions and will meet with prospective operators before making a decision.

The operator/s will comply with the Department of Education’s Healthy Food and Drink policy and procedures, including:

  • Promote healthy eating to the school community
  • Complete Traffic Light training
  • Complete safe food handler training (or equivalent)
  • Plan a menu based on the traffic light system.
