Good Afternoon to all our families
I think you will all agree that although the rain was really needed it has been nice having some sunshine this week. Students have enjoyed being able to play without rain interruptions and it has been lovely to see students showing all four behaviour expectations during playtime.
Mud Kitchen
The Junior Primary playground got the exciting inclusion of a Mud Kitchen this week. The children have been ‘cooking’ fantastic culinary creations all week!!
Book Week
It was really lovely this week to take the opportunity to celebrate children’s literature and the joys we get from reading and being read to.
Our Book Week parade on Monday was a huge success. There were Princesses and Fairies, Harry and Hermione, Super Hero’s galore, Wally and friends, Cat in the Hat, Bob the Builder, Rainbow fish and many many more. I hope there weren’t too many late nights for parents, sewing and pushing their creativity to the limits. Thank you to everyone who participated in our book week activities.
West Australian Government School Music Society
Congratulations to the Woodland Grove Choir and Mr Cullen for a fabulous performance at last night’s WAGSMS Concert. It was a polished routine and a credit to all the hours of practice and preparation that the group has put in.
Thank you to our wonderful staff Ms Good, Ms Tew, Mr Liackman, Ms Lay and most especially Mr Cullen for ensuring the students were supported throughout the day’s rehearsal and concert. Thank you also to our parents who were able to get tickets to watch, and to all of those who waited at school for pick-up. There were a few tired students at school today but they all agree it was a wonderful opportunity.
Have a lovely weekend.
