From the Principal’s desk

Long Service Leave
I will be on Long Service Leave from today and returning Week 4 of Term 2. Jenny Lay will be the stand-in Principal during this time. I look forward to seeing you all next term.

Police visit
On Monday 1st April, the Pre-primary and Kindy students were very excited to attend a Police Incursion. The police officers drove their cars into the Early Childhood play area and talked about what the Police do for our community. Children had the opportunity to ask them questions.
Our children were excited to get the opportunity to have a look in the police cars, have a breath test and try on some police vests, jackets and hats.
The officers also spoke through their loud speaker and blasted their sirens as they left. We thank Senior Constable Lemmey and his colleagues for taking the time to visit our school.
The children absolutely loved it.

Year Six Camp
Students had a brilliant time at camp.
They participated in games including, ski biscuit, pamper pole, low ropes, big fox, crate climb, target shooting, abseil tower and kayaking. They completed the 2019 Camp Quiz Night on the first night, with David, Penny, Jett, Connor, Khye, Jayden, Eli and Trenton taking out the inaugural Quiz Night Trophy which was found on a curb for rubbish collection by Mr Gould only days earlier. It is now a part of camp history!
Students have done an amazing job in stepping out of their paradigm. This is something that the camp school encourages and students have pushed themselves to achieve what they thought they couldn’t. The night before the students went home, they had a movie night and a chance for them to slow down before the final activities and drive home on Wednesday.

DanceSport
Monday the 8th of April is the final session to DanceSport. All family and friends are welcome to watch their superstars in action in The Arena when they show off their dance moves.
Attached is a timetable with the classes times. Look forward to seeing you all there.

Whole School Assembly
Week 9 Whole School Assembly saw Miss White and Mrs Seymour’s class perform an outstanding Cowboy and Cowgirl item. This was followed by a “Flashmob” performance of the Dance Sport routine by the whole school. Lots of excitement all round.
