Blog 37, 2018

We are at that time of the year when we begin to consider our class structures for 2019. At this time of the year teachers begin to think about which classes children will work best in. As Principal I am looking at the numbers of children we may have in our school next year and what the best way to staff our school may be. Of course classes will not be finalised until the beginning of next year as a lot can change over the summer break. Our Class Placement Policy is on our website. Click here Please have a look at our policy and if you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact the school through our website.
Remember we have our two most important events of the year coming up with our Book Awards and our Nativity Play and Christmas Carols twilight evenings coming up on the 5th and 11th December respectively.

Book Fair
Thank you to all the Parents and Staff who supported the Book Fair. We received a total of $776.86 worth of books. Your support goes along way.
The winner of the $20 book voucher to spend with the Book Club is Willem.H from TH1 who won the colouring in competition.
Congratulations Willem, your colouring in was on point!

Byford Bushrangers
The Byford Bushrangers visited our school to run some tee ball clinics. Thank you to Geoff, Amy, Patricia and Natasha for running the clinics and putting in the time to teach the students some skills. The students enjoyed the clinic and learnt throwing, catching, pitching and batting.

Volunteers Morning Tea
The morning tea was a great turn out and it was enjoyable to catch up with the volunteers who have helped or donated to our school and also hear from each of them how they are connected to the school. Thank you to the hours you have put in and the support you have shown, we appreciate every little bit of it.
Thank you to our WGPS staff who provided morning tea and made our volunteers feel welcome.
