Year 5 BSC Experience Day

he Year’s 5 had the opportunity to experience what secondary school is like at Byford Secondary College. Students started the day with a tour of the school. They learnt about the colours of each of the buildings and what type of learning takes place in each. Our students were particularly interested in the robotics and cooking classrooms as well as the green room that is used for the school news reports. They took part in a Literacy session where they were given a part of the story “Giraffes Can’t Dance” and were asked to delegate roles and act it out. They then took part in a Numeracy session that was run by students from BSC which comprised of a range of maths activities and games. They ended the day off with group games run by staff and students from BSC. Thank you BSC for hosting our students and giving them some insight into secondary school.

Pre-Primary IGA Excursion

Our Pre-Primary students went on an excursion to visit our local community IGA. Students got to look at the different stock IGA has on offer and were given a chance to work the till and be served as a customer. Thank you to IGA for hosting our children and giving them an opportunity to explore the store.
