World Pasta Day

Today our year 5 and 6 students celebrated World Pasta Day in style by indulging in some delicious pasta made by their teachers!

World Pasta Day had started as part of the World Pasta Congress in 1995. Experts on pasta come from all over the world to discuss the wonders of pasta, with particular emphasis on the importance of spreading knowledge of the world’s pasta. The world Pasta Congress uses the day to promote the eating of pasta, along with its cultural and culinary importance.

We hope our year 5 and 6 students enjoyed eating their pasta! We all agree we have the best teachers in the world.

Summer is nearly here…

It’s starting to feel like summer again which means it’s a timely reminder to make sure our kids are being sun smart. To help with this, we have a UV metre installed. This helps to show our WGPS students when they need to wear a hat, apply sunscreen, stay out of the sun altogether and more.

To help keep students cool during these hot days, we like to set up water stations, including a sprinkler. Pictured below are a few students enjoying a filled up water tub with some ice and toys!
