Connecting with our Community

We have had some enquiries about our current opening and closing of gates and our Performance Assemblies. We will let our school community know as soon as there are changes to our current routines. Changes will occur in consultation with our School Board giving consideration to Covid restrictions.

In the meantime, we will be showcasing some class performances with our community virtually! Further details are to come. Students are practicing. Be sure to be on the lookout.

Book Week Dress Up & Open Night

We are planning our annual Book Week parade for Friday 11th September. Our parade will be at 8.30am and there will be plenty of space for our community to spread out across the school to enjoy the book character dress ups. We are also planning our annual Open Night for Wednesday 16th September from 3pm to 5pm.

 

Playground Funding

We have had a successful application for playground funding. We will be receiving $30,000 for the Department of Education. We are currently looking at extending our existing playground adjacent to the oval and adding some Nature Play features to our Global Motion area. It will be wonderful to have more playground equipment installed for the children of Woodland Grove.

 

Pupil Free Day

Our next pupil free day is Friday the 21st of August. Be sure to mark this in your calendar and enjoy the break.

Father’s Day- P&C

Our P&C are busy getting ready for the Father’s Day Stall to be held next week! Families will be able to order for Father’s Day as they did for the Mother’s Day stall held earlier this year. Our money raised will go towards P&C fundraising.

 

October VacSwim

Enrolments Now Open

Armadale Fitness and Aquatic Centre is pleased to be a host Centre for VacSwim this October school holidays. The program is run by the Department of Education. VacSwim offers affordable swimming lessons across the state, giving children the opportunity to learn to swim in a safe and enjoyable environment.

Program Dates: 29 September to 9 October 2020
