Blog Week 4 – 19 May, 2017
Dear Woodland Grove family,
Oh my gosh it is Week 4 already. We are nearly half way through Term 2.
It is timely for us to seek some feedback from our school community about our progress so far. You will have seen our letter on our Facebook feed inviting you to come in. We will be holding parent forums next week to elicit feedback. A note has also been sent home with the oldest child in each family regarding times and dates for our forums. This note has also been put up on our website, https://woodlandgroveps.wa.edu.au/feedback-forum-timetable/
At Woodland Grove Primary School we are aiming to have a school where children feel safe and are nurtured so that they can be the best they can be. We encourage our children to try new things which are the cornerstone to having a Growth Mindset. We encourage our children to say “I can’t do it yet”, rather than “I can’t do it”. Being challenged by new experiences is how we learn and grow. We endeavour to give the children of Woodland Grove Primary School opportunity to try new things each day.
The attached You Tube clip from Sesame Street is worth looking at and discussing with your child/ren as it focusses on trying new things.
Enjoy your weekend and stay safe.
