Crazy Hair and Sock Day

Blog Week 2 – 5 May, 2017

Dear Woodland Grove family,

Uniform Shop
It has been a very busy week at the uniform shop with our winter uniform and hats flying out the door. Our children look very smart in their jackets and hats. It is great to see so many of our children in uniform compete with black shoes and black tights or short white socks. If you would like more information about our uniform and school in general check out our website. It has a lot of useful information, including our most up to date calendar. Most importantly if you would like to discuss our uniform further please do not hesitate to contact myself or Kate Ayers, our Manager Corporate Services.

Crazy Hair & Socks Day
Crazy Hair and Socks Day was a great success. Our school was awash with creativity and colour. Our staff got into the spirit and looked fantastic. We had a group of Principals visit our school this morning for a tour. They were impressed with the enthusiasm and vitality of our school in general. Well done to all involved.

NAPLAN
NAPLAN is upon us this week. Our Year 3 and Year 5 students will be tested on their literacy and numeracy skills. I am sure you have heard this before – Our NAPLAN tests are one test on one day of the year. They give us valuable information on the progress of our students over time and enable us to make informed decisions about our school’s focus areas. The most important thing for our children is to make sure they are well rested at home throughout the week and that their routine remains the same or similar to what they are familiar with.

As always I am loving getting to know our families and wider school community. Looking forward to seeing you all next week.

Community Calendar
Our Community Calendar will be going home with the eldest students today. This is regularly updated, so please refer to our website for any updates and changes: http://woodlandgroveps.wa.edu.au/whats-happening/calendar/

Enjoy your weekend and stay safe.
