Interschool Athletics

Congratulations to all the students who participated in the Interschool Athletics Carnival yesterday. It was an absolute pleasure to host the other four schools; Marri Grove, West Byford, Byford and Beenyup. Congratulations to Mari Grove for taking out first place and well done to all the WGPS students for securing third place.

2020 so far…

What a term and year we are having. From the start of the year filled with
uncertainty and challenges, to things returning to normal as the term has progressed. It is wonderful to see the community back in our school, with parents and carers attending our recent sporting events and our Open Night.

I’ve been incredibly humbled by the resilience of our WGPS families and broader community. Covid has by far been the biggest challenge we’ve had to overcome, and I’m extremely proud to say we are getting through it with flying colours. Our success has been due to the collective effort of students, teachers, support staff, families, community members and more. I’d like to say a huge thank you to all our families for trusting us during this time and for being a valuable support for our school. WGPS is well placed to face whatever comes our way in the future.

Pictured below are some snapshots of our year so far, with special mention to our Book Week Parade and Open Night. These two events have been highlighted as they were when we were able to safely invite our community back in with open arms. Our community partnership is one of our strongest assets and it was what we missed most during the restrictions placed on the school.

We hope you enjoy your much deserved break and can’t wait to see you back for Term 4.
