From the Principal’s Desk
Week 3
By now most of you will have met your child’s class teacher. Some “Meet the Teacher” meetings have been re-scheduled due to illness. It has been wonderful to see all our parents/carers who have been able to come in. Meetings have been well attended with lots of positivity about the year ahead.
Our classes are very settled. Our students are learning and routines have been established. I would like to acknowledge the hard work of our staff, parents and students. Woodland Grove Primary School is certainly a wonderful place to be.
Our Year 3 students have their first year of 1 to 1 iPads this year. All Year 3s have a school iPad to use for the year. Our Year 4 to Year 6 students bring their own iPads to school. We have been really busy setting the machines up and making sure all the applications are installed. Thank you for returning your permissions for the variety of applications we use. New forms will come out throughout the year from time to time as the Department of Education release permissions.
We have a new sandpit being built in the early childhood area. This sandpit is being built to replace the area where we had two transportable buildings removed. Im sure our students will really enjoy the extra play space.
Don’t forget to check in with our website calendar regularly to stay up to date with what’s happening in the school.
Some of these events include:
23rd Feb – P&C Morning Welcome |
While we try our best to limit changes to our scheduled events, our website calendar is our source of truth and we encourage our families and community to use this calendar.
