From the Principal’s desk,

Write 4 Fun
The Year 5/6 students in TH3 entered a writing competition through Write4Fun. Children wrote a short poem or story.
Write4Fun encourages young student writers and artists with fantastic competitions, the publishing of top quality books and conducting interactive, fun workshops across Australia. It allows students to use their creative minds and gives them a chance to win some awesome prizes! 20 of our students have made it through the first stages of judging with winners and finalists set to be announced on 24th May.
Woodland Grove is very proud of all the students who took part in this fantastic competition.

Mother’s Day Stall
The P&C hosted a Mother’s Day Stall and it was a great success. There were items ranging from 50c through to $8. There were some beautiful things for children to purchase. Student thoroughly enjoyed picking out a special gift. We hope you have a beautiful Mother’s Day.
Children that purchased a Mother’s Day gift from the Stall, were automatically put into a draw to win donated Mother’s Day prize packs.
The winners are: Jack W, Mia-Bella Q, Haylee F

Canteen
There were lots of happy faces with children getting their lunch orders this week.
Next week’s lunch order form has been sent home and will need to be back to the school by Monday the 14th if your child would like to place an order. Children will get their lunch orders on Wednesday the 16th.

Seedlings

Miss Trevenen’s class planted seedlings in our school garden this week. We are encouraging students to bring in annual seedlings for our school. We would love a colourful spring garden.
