Welcome back to all our families. It has been a very hot but exciting start to our school year with lots of children making new friends and renewing old friendships.
You may be aware that we have been focussing on our traffic management at school, particularly safe parking and making sure children leave our school safely. We continue to work towards safe traffic flow around our school.
The Bus Zone at the front of the Administration Building is a No Parking area so that our students can be collected safely in the afternoon. Please pay attention to the Bus Zone sign and park safely around the school in marked areas.
Class Teacher/Parent Meetings are taking place next week. Please make sure you are connected to your child’s SeeSaw account or read the Morning Board to find out the time and date of your child’s class meeting. Important information will be shared which will help with school and classroom routines.
This year is the year to STRIVE at Woodland Grove Primary School. Children have been talking about striving to achieve with their teachers and are really trying their best in class.
In an exciting change, we have modified the shape of our day so that students play before they eat. I hope more lunchboxes go home completely empty and that students enjoy sitting in the cool of the classroom to eat

9.20am Crunch and Sip
11.00am – 11.25am Lunch Play
11.25am – 11.40am Lunch Eating and Social Skills.
1.20pm – 1.40pm Afternoon Recess
2.30pm End of School Day
You may have noticed posts have been put in place ready for our shade sails to be installed outside The Arena. We are very excited as this will give our students more shaded areas to play in. Students who are wearing a broad brimmed hat when the UV metre is 3 or above are welcome to play in the sun. We have had some great water play areas set up to keep our students cool.
