The Parents & Citizens’ Association (P&C) is an organisation of the school community. It is open to any parents, guardians, School staff and community members who’d like have further involvement in the school. Woodland Grove Primary School enjoys a professional and productive relationship with our P&C. Our P&C began in 2016 before the school officially opened in 2017.
This dedicated group met weekly with the Principal, the Manager of Corporate Services and Associate Principals to provide valuable input and feedback in key areas including:
- School logo and story,
- Expectations of community,
- Uniform selection, and
- School values and inherent culture.
The P&C further helps to promotes the interests of Woodland Grove by:
- Bringing about closer cooperation between the parents or carers of the students attending the school, the staff, students and community,
- Assisting in providing facilities and amenities for the school,
- Fostering community interest in education and school matters.
It is the P&C’s goal that these activities will support the school staff, lead to the improvement of the facilities and enhance the quality of learning that our children receive.
The P&C is active in the following areas:
- Improvements to the school,
- Assisting with school activities.
The Woodland Grove P&C has financed many small and large projects including:
- Shade structures,
- Setting up the canteen,
- Reading books, and
- The Outreach Program
The Outreach Program sets our school community apart from many others. Our P&C donates a percentage of the years fundraising to Woodland Grove Primary School to use at our discretion for children who may need some extra support. These funds are used in a variety of ways including:
- Purchasing uniform,
- Purchasing schoolbooks,
- Subsidising camps and excursions, and
- Supplying lunches.
Interested to help?
As the P&C is directly involved with enriching school life – your support is both needed and very much welcomed. We are always looking for new members and volunteers to help out. Volunteering is also a great way to network and meet new people, as well as to simply become more involved in the day-to-day activities at Woodland Grove Primary School
How to get involved
P&C meetings are held regularly and notice of each meeting is posted via the P&C Facebook group. Please come along to find out what is happening and meet other parents and staff.
Our P&C also regularly post information in the P&C Facebook group.
