From the Principal’s Desk

On Friday last week it was National Ride 2 to School Day. Our school has seen a 20% increase in the number of students using active transport to get to school in first term. We are very proud of the healthy choices you are making and the associated reduction in traffic around our school.

Our Crazy Hair Day raised $560 to go towards Year 6 Fundraising for special events such as Camp. Well done to all of you who managed to have crazy hair and still ride your bike safely to school!

Monday was a very bright and colourful day at Woodland Grove Primary School, for our Harmony Day Celebrations. It was fantastic to see so many children parade in their traditional dress and sharing their culture with classmates. Thank you to our parents who joined us for our picnic and to the band for providing the music. We are very lucky at Woodland Grove.

It looks like our Crosswalk is getting closer to being ready with marker poles added to the already established lines. We are very much looking forward to  this being completed.

We are excited for the drawing of the P & C Easter Raffle at the Easter Hat Parade at 8.30am on Thursday morning.  I hope many of you are putting the finishing touches on your hats ready for the parade.

Have a restful weekend ready for the final 4 days of school for Term 1.
